Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the StepCash mobile app ("StepCash"), operated by CosmoStride ("we", "us"), collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Step count (health data). With your permission, we read your daily step total from Android Health Connect. We read steps only, no other health data. Your daily step total is sent to our servers to unlock step chests and to detect fraud.
• Account information. We create an account identifier for you. If you choose "Sign in with Google", we receive your name and email address from Google.
• Device identifier. We store a one-way hashed identifier derived from your device to prevent multiple accounts and fraud.
• Rewards activity. Your coin balance and history (chests opened, trivia, bonuses, videos watched) and gift card redemptions, including an email address you provide for delivery.
• Advertising data. Our advertising partner, Google AdMob, may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, and basic device information to show and measure ads and prevent ad fraud.

2. How we use information

• To run StepCash: award coins, unlock rewards, and keep your balance.
• To deliver gift card redemptions.
• To prevent fraud, cheating, and abuse.
• To show advertising that keeps StepCash free.
• To respond to support requests.

3. Health data (Health Connect)

Step data from Health Connect is used only to provide step rewards and fraud prevention. We do not sell step data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. You can turn off access anytime in Health Connect settings.

4. Advertising

StepCash shows ads from Google AdMob, including rewarded videos, full-screen ads, and banners. Google may use your advertising ID to personalise ads. Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK) we ask for your consent, and you can change it in the app under "Ad privacy choices". You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Learn more: How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

5. Who we share information with

• Google Firebase: hosting, sign-in, and database services.
• Google AdMob: advertising, as described above.
• Our gift card partner: the details needed to deliver a gift card you redeem.
• Legal reasons: if required by law or to protect users from fraud.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. To delete your account and data, email support@cosmostride.com with the User ID shown in the app's "Me" tab. We delete data within 30 days, except records we must keep for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal reasons.

7. Children

StepCash is only for adults 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by updating the date above.
